JOB OVERVIEW:

The Deputy Manager – Sales will assist the Regional Sales Manager in managing day-to-day sales operations, developing new business opportunities, maintaining client and supplier relationships, and supporting sales execution across assigned commodities and markets. The role requires regular market visits, strong coordination skills, and a good understanding of agricultural commodities, bio mass and trading.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Assist in executing sales plans and achieving monthly and annual targets.

o Develop new clients and suppliers and maintain strong business relationships.

o Conduct regular market visits to monitor prices, demand, supply, and market trends.

o Coordinate with clients, suppliers, procurement, and operations teams for smooth execution of trades.

o Generate and follow up on sales leads and business opportunities and payments.

o Negotiate prices and commercial terms with clients and suppliers.

o Maintain updated records of sales, clients, suppliers, market rates, and business pipeline.

o Monitor ongoing deals, deliveries, payments, and other sales-related activities.

o Support management in preparing sales reports, market updates, and business plans.

o Identify new markets and opportunities for agricultural commodities.

Required Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agri Economics, or a related field.

Required Experience: 3–5 years of experience in sales, trading, or business development, preferably in agri commodities, grains and bio mass.

Mandatory Requirements:

Proactive personality and strong knowledge of local agricultural commodity markets and trading practices.

Good communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

Willingness to travel extensively to grain markets and client/supplier locations.

Strong follow-up, coordination, and reporting skills.

Proficiency in MS Excel and other basic reporting tools.

Valid driving license and willingness to travel will be preferred.
